FedEx July 4th holiday operational schedule
The following message was received from Aaron Prather, FedEx Postal Transportation Management:
Wanted to make sure you and your members are clear on the upcoming July 4th holiday operational schedule.
7/2 Monday - we will be accepted Express mail shipments that evening for Tuesday morning delivery.
7/3 Tuesday - no acceptance of Lives for either the Priority network or Express network.
7/4 Wednesday - closed
7/5 Thursday - resume normal operations.
I believe that there was some confusion between USPS and FedEx over 7/5 because of how their own procedures were written.
On the morning of 7/5, if we are brought Live Animals, we are going to move them that day.
